About Us
CraftD Mod began at the end of 2023, after I met Mr. Thang, a watchmaker with more than 10 years of experience working with mechanical watches around the Dan Sinh Market area.
At the time, he showed me a few watches he had assembled himself. They were not flashy, but when you looked closely, you could see how carefully everything was done: from the movement, dial, case, and crystal to the way the watch felt on the wrist. That was also the first time I truly paid attention to Seiko modding — a watch culture already well known overseas, but still rarely done seriously in Vietnam.
After a few conversations, we decided to try building something together. Mr. Thang handled the technical side: selecting components, assembling the watches, and checking each piece by hand. I handled the brand, visuals, and the way we brought the products to customers.
Our first batch had only five watches, shared with friends and a small group of customers who found us through social media. The response was modest, but it was enough for us to believe that if we did this properly, CraftD Mod could have its own place.
Today, every CraftD Mod watch still follows the same core standards: a genuine Seiko NH35 movement, 316L stainless steel case, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and careful inspection before delivery. We produce in small batches because we would rather control the quality of each watch than chase quantity.
The D in CraftD Mod stands for Detail. To us, a good watch does not have to be extremely expensive. It just needs to be made by people who understand the craft, have patience, and respect even the smallest details.
